We didn't create LCITEC because another coworking space was needed. We created it because the community needs a fighting chance.
Too many people are working—but still under-employed. Educated—but locked out of opportunity. Banked—but still financially excluded. And too many are told to "get ready" for an economy changing faster than the resources available to them.
Meanwhile, gentrification is moving through our neighborhoods fast.
So we have a choice: watch the community get priced out, or build infrastructure that allows people to stay, grow, own, and thrive.
LCITEC is part of that resistance.
We are creating a place where people can learn the skills today's economy demands, launch businesses, access technology, build relationships, host ideas, and turn knowledge into economic power.
Because reversing gentrification isn't just about preserving buildings.
It's about building the economic power of the people who already call this community home.
