Lorin has always been a place where people build. Along Adeline Street, generations of Black families started businesses, opened churches, and created institutions that carried the neighborhood forward. LCITEC is a continuation of that work, not a departure from it.
When we chose 3259 Adeline Street, we were choosing proximity. Proximity to the residents who will use the training rooms. Proximity to the small business owners who need a professional address and a place to meet clients. Proximity to the young people who deserve to see technology careers modeled by people who look like them.
The center brings co-working, a computer lab, meeting and media rooms, and hands-on training into one building. Every square foot is designed around a simple question: does this help someone in this community move forward?
We will keep sharing the story here as the build-out progresses, and we would love for you to follow along.
